Born out of frustration with tarnished jewellery and skin allergies, Lasting Jewellery has transformed costume accessories into long-lasting, skin-friendly pieces. The trio behind the brand—two sisters and a lifelong best friend—saw a gap in the market and seized the opportunity to change the way we wear, care for, and view jewellery.
The idea for Lasting Jewellery sparked during one of those “there must be a better way” moments. Like many jewellery lovers, the co-founders, Alannah, Alessia and Olivia, found themselves frustrated with pieces that tarnished after just a few wears or irritated their skin. “We loved the look of fashion and costume jewellery but found that most pieces would either tarnish quickly or cause our skin to become irritated.” Faced with the option of either replacing jewellery regularly or investing in more expensive pieces like real gold or diamonds, the team realised there was a significant gap in the market.
That realisation led to a mission: to create a jewellery protector that would not only preserve the life of pieces but also cater to all skin types. Lasting Jewellery was born out of a desire to fill this gap—giving people an option to extend the life of their favourite pieces without breaking the bank.
Bringing this idea to life wasn’t without its hurdles. The team spent two years testing and refining their formula. “One of the biggest challenges was finding the right balance between effectiveness and safety. We needed a formula that was strong enough to prevent tarnishing and protect against skin allergies, but also gentle enough not to change the look or quality of the jewellery.” The result was a breakthrough: the world’s first Jewellery Protector that is reliable, effective, and safe for all skin types.
For the team at Lasting Jewellery, costume jewellery represents more than just fashion—it’s a form of self-expression. But beyond helping customers showcase their personal style, Lasting Jewellery is contributing to the growing movement towards sustainability.
“We want to redefine how people view costume jewellery by showing that it can be both stylish and long-lasting.” The goal is to move away from the idea that fashion jewellery is disposable, something to be worn a few times and then discarded. Instead, they aim to show that with the right care, fashion jewellery can be a stylish, long-lasting part of any wardrobe.

What makes Lasting Jewellery truly unique is the strength of its founding team, Alannah, Alessia and Olivia. Two sisters, one a teacher and the other a soon-to-be lawyer, and their best friend of 18 years, who works in finance, form a dynamic trio. “We each bring a unique perspective and background that shapes the identity of Lasting Jewellery. Our dynamic works because we really play to each other’s strengths and keep each other motivated.”
While their journey began without specific roles, they soon gravitated towards their natural talents—one handling creative direction, another focusing on finance and budgeting, and the third leading marketing and audience engagement. “Of course, that doesn’t mean we don’t have our fair share of disagreements- but hey, a little bickering just means we care, right? It’s all part of the process!”.

With their first product a proven success, the team at Lasting Jewellery is looking forward to exciting new projects. “We’re planning to expand further into the jewellery care space” they reveal, “and working on a complete range of products to help people preserve their favourite pieces.”
But that’s not all. Behind the scenes, they’ve been developing a sister brand—one that builds on everything they’ve learned from Lasting Jewellery and explores fresh, innovative avenues. Though they’re keeping the details under wraps for now, one thing is clear: the future of Lasting Jewellery is bright, and they can’t wait to share what’s coming next.
For aspiring entrepreneurs, the founders offer simple but powerful advice: “Just go for it - waiting for the perfect moment can hold you back! You don’t need to have everything figured out from day one; take that first step and let yourself learn along the way.”
They highlight the importance of surrounding yourself with supportive people and being open to learning from challenges. “Focus on what sets your idea apart and use that as your strength. There will be setbacks and moments of doubt, but keep pushing forward, stay focused on your ‘why,’ and don’t forget to celebrate your progress, no matter how small.”
