Inside Khadija Jomaa’s Digital Domain

For Khadija Jomaa, storytelling has always been about creating a connection—the kind that lingers long after the screen fades to black. As the founder of The Kollectiv Agency, her approach to digital media is anything but ordinary. With an instinct for what resonates and a passion for elevating brands, Khadija has carved out a space where beauty, fashion, and lifestyle meet strategy, creativity, and authenticity.

“When I started The Kollectiv Agency, I saw a gap in how brands were communicating online—especially in the beauty, fashion, and lifestyle industries,” Khadija recalls. “Many brands were focused on traditional marketing, but I knew the future was in digital storytelling, social media, and community-driven engagement.” With a natural eye for detail and a belief in creating unique brand identities, Khadija set out to differentiate her clients in an increasingly competitive space.

Building the agency wasn’t about chasing trends—it was about setting them. “At first, I wasn’t even thinking about building a business—I just loved creating content. I’d take on projects for free just to prove what I could do,” she explains. But when the global pandemic accelerated the shift to digital-first marketing, the demand for her innovative storytelling quickly soared. Brands wanted more than visibility—they wanted presence. And Khadija delivered.

The rapid growth of The Kollectiv Agency is rooted in three key pillars: industry insight, adaptability, and authenticity. “We understand the nuances of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle,” she notes. “We’re always ahead of trends—whether it’s TikTok’s latest algorithm or influencer collaborations. But more importantly, we create narratives that resonate—turning brands into experiences people remember.”

Of course, success doesn’t come without challenges. “I’ve had moments where things didn’t go as planned, but every setback was an opportunity to refine, pivot, and come back stronger,” she says. “I’m a big believer in not being afraid to fail—because nothing is ever truly a failure, it’s just a lesson”.

In 2022, Khadija made a bold move, relocating from Australia to Dubai—a city synonymous with opportunity, luxury, and ambition. “I’ve always wanted more for myself, and Dubai was always on my mind. Growing up, I’d visit the UAE with my family, and it felt like a second home. It’s a place of opportunity, luxury, and rapid growth, and I knew deep down that one day I would build something here.” This new environment, being one of the fastest-growing business hubs in the world, shaped Khadija in unexpected ways. “Moving here wasn’t just about my business—it was about expanding my vision. It pushed me to think bigger, elevate my brand, and step into the next level of my career”.

And that, she did. Now positioned in the heart of the luxury and beauty industry, Khadija has had the opportunity to work closely with top-tier brands and industry leaders. Managing a global agency remotely comes with its own set of challenges, but Khadija has found success through structure, trust, and communication. “At first, I wanted to do everything myself, but I quickly realized that growth meant trusting my team. Delegating was one of the best decisions I made—it gave me the space to focus on the bigger picture.”

Creativity remains at the heart of everything Khadija does. “Inspiration is everywhere—you just have to know where to look,” she says. From fashion weeks to beauty expos, she stays immersed in the industry’s pulse. But for her, creativity isn’t about following trends—it’s about knowing when to break them. “I love taking risks, pushing boundaries, and finding unexpected ways to tell a brand’s story. People connect with authenticity—that’s what sets us apart.”

Beyond the agency, Khadija’s personal brand as a content creator plays a pivotal role in her creative process. “Being a content creator allows me to experiment with strategies in real-time, build relationships with my audience, and showcase my expertise in digital marketing. It keeps me connected to the digital space and helps me create better results for my clients.

Looking ahead, Khadija’s focus is clear: evolution. “I’m always exploring what’s next—new markets, new industries, and new creative challenges. There are a few things I’m working on right now that are completely different from what I’ve done before—but I’ll share more when the time is right.”

If there’s one lesson to take from Khadija’s journey, it’s that growth happens where comfort ends. Take the leap, trust your instincts, and savour the process—after all, the most rewarding moments are found beyond the familiar.
